Continuously working on long versions of the Painter ás a Warrior (25 x50 cm): inspired by visits to recent exhibitions by Berlinde de Bruyckere in Bozar (Brussles) and Anselm Kiefer in Van Gogh and Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam). Heads (A3) and other Masks (50x65 cm) are another favorite, using mixed media of acrylics, walnutink, JG coffee, Falu paints and Stabilo wax pastels.
Inspired by the Moai's (stone heads) of Easter Island, and seeing Leo Gestel's Spakenburger vissers (1934) in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam I combined these into my 3 Mogai's (wise people a.k.a. as three Kings coming from the East) in mudpaint and wax pastel.
