Tate Modern

Making art, watching and showing art, is what it is all about in our new attic studio. More on birds, koppen and other portraits. Recently I went to Tate Modern in London, saw Frida Kahlo, the Making of an Icon, ánd Tracy Emin: A Second Life, as well as the regular collection. Both iconic artists, each in their own way, struggling with life, painters dealing with their own pains as warriors. Inspiring many.

Colorblockheads, & Doors

Back home again into the Dutch Dome of Heat. Working on 2 new projects: Colorblockheads and Doors. A shift in color palette and backdrop materials. I followed the principles of colorblocking, first on paper and later on the doors as well. Working in the open, in the shade in front of our front door.

Summer 2026 - residence in Switzerland

Away from the Dutch heat, into the cool mountains of the Vallais, Switzerland. New inspirations, new interpretations, 'working' big time, but not big size, and most important ... off media. Time to get new inspiration, new materials and color use, to work out some ideas in my sketchbook and notes. Studying the eyes, ears, mouths and noses.
