Way of the MASKS

Freestyle masks, heads or caricatures, but not portraits, inspired by the Tschäggätta masks of Wallis Switzerland, and African arts, made in Wallis CH and Henneviken SE. They represent a primal feeling that I am attracted and connected to, being one with nature, carved out of stone: coarse faces, sullen looks, clumsy shapes, pockmarked skin, absent eyes, no nonsense, ghost-like, down to earth, painted in mud. All are unique artworks on paper,  A3 in size, using swedish (Falu) mudpaints and natural pigments, occasionally highlighted with wax pastel. Some examples here, background and more in the link
