drawings: ART on Paper

There is thin line between drawing and painting. The start may be similar, a beginning with outlines and shapes, regardless the surface they are depicted on. Stains and shapes come and go, where colors and forms remain diffuse and less intense in one, they become more pronounced in others: drawing and painting may intertwine. All Art on Paper I consider drawings, what I make on Canvas, Cardboard and Wooden Panels as paintings.

I draw with grafite and charcoal, dye and pigments, instant coffee and coffee grinds, wax pastels and mud paints (Falu rödfärg) diluted in water, as well as diluted acrylic dyes. In all I use my fingers, pencils, wax pastels, sticks, sprays and brushes. 

Animals (birds, bulls, cows, elks, gnus, horses, etc.), masks & heads ("koppen") of people, in prehistoric (rockart) and more recent times are my main subjects.
